Cottages
8 cozy self-catering cottages have been lovingly converted from an old olive press and its estate buildings dating back to Venetian times.
Restored by Dennis Androutsopoulos, they feature thick original stone walls, clay tile roofs, and vaulted stone arches, keeping them naturally cool in the summer, and warm in the winter.
Events and Activities
The main communal building, “Estia”, serves as a hub for both the local community and the island’s guests. It features a large event hall with unique acoustics, special equipment for aerial acrobatics, therapy and treatment rooms.
A variety of events and regular activities take place at Casa Lucia throughout the year, and both guests and local residents are welcome to participate.
The next major event at Casa Lucia will take place in the autumn.
It is an intensive community week “About What’s Blossoming… from Scars and Scratches” organized by the Neriom Collective arts group that will welcome participants from 2 to 8 November.

The Gardens
Originally old meadows and a Corfiot olive grove, the grounds of Casa Lucia have been transformed into beautiful mature gardens that respect the native flora.
You’ll find original cypresses, quince and vibrant Judas trees, blooming bougainvillea, jasmine, bignonia, roses and a countless variety of greens in all shades from emerald to sage.
The gardens participate in the Corfu Garden Festival every year and have received praise for their natural beauty and thoughtful design.
The Library
Another cosy corner of Casa Lucia is its carefully curated little library, located in the communal “Estia” building.
It contains hundreds of books dedicated to nature, natural sciences, and the island itself.
Works by Gerald Durrell, Lawrence Durrell, Theodore Stephanides, and many other authors in multiple languages offer a wonderful addition for those who value literature and reading.
Swimming Pool
The beautiful swimming pool features a unique mosaic and is surrounded by flowering trees and bushes.

Tai Chi ad Qigong Sessions
There are regular sessions of the ancient Chinese meditation practices, Tai Chi and Qigong, happening at Casa Lucia.
They are led by instructor and co-owner Val Osborne-Androutsopoulos and Thalia Gonda, who have been practising Tai Chi in Corfu for over 30 years.
Together, Val and Thalia create a very welcoming, grounding atmosphere for those who are curious to learn or practice Tai Chi and Qigong in Corfu.
Ensoma Sessions
Ensoma is a combination of dance and movement techniques, massage and bodywork techniques, various approaches to learning and special care services.
The sessions are led by Zoe Valerie, the originator and founder of Ensoma, who is based at Casa Lucia and leads group and individual students.
Zoe Valerie is a pioneer in somatic and inclusive education, who has fused diverse movement, therapeutic, and scientific disciplines into cutting-edge educational projects and alternative learning communities worldwide.
An MA graduate in Dance Theatre Studies from London’s Trinity Laban, she brings into her sessions over 30 years of global teaching and choreographic experience shaped by world-renowned mentors like David Zambrano, Julyen Hamilton, Gabor Maté, and Nora Bateson.
Green Energy and Sustainability
Casa Lucia uses solar panels to generate hot water. There is no air conditioning in any of the buildings.
Instead, thick stone walls provide efficient natural insulation, while ceiling fans help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature.
